Worship Ministry

worship ministriesWorship is important to our congregation. It is where the whole congregation, young and old, gathers each week. Our vision is for ‘spirit-filled, diverse worship,’ that praises and honours God and invites us into transformed lives as we are sent to live and share God’s mission in our world. We breathe in God’s love and breathe God’s love back out into the world.

So what does worship look like on a Sunday morning? Our worship is shaped around the Biblical story as we find our place within the larger story of God. Our worship is nourished by our Anabaptist convictions. There is space in worship for singing, Scripture reading, drama, sermons/reflections, children’s stories, congregational sharing, prayer and special rituals. Our worship is inter-generational with lots of participation and leadership from both pastors and congregational members. It contains both formal and informal elements. We are a ‘singing congregation’ that sings a wide range of music and styles, often with various instruments and accompaniments while being rooted in a 4 part a cappella singing tradition. We value creativity and personal engagement with the stories and themes of the morning. May God bless us as we worship together.communion
