Leadership Council

Leadership Council consists of the leaders of the various Church ministries. Simply put, guided by the Holy Spirit, our role is to support one another and the pastors in leading the congregation, and making decisions regarding the operation of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church as an organization and as a spiritual body. We want to take time to discern with each other and with the congregation the overall direction and planning needed to keep our congregation vibrant and alive. To do that we meet at least six times a year to discuss and discern issues as they present themselves. We look to God for guidance while using our Vision Statement to frame our decision making and planning. Officially we report to the congregation annually in early March at our Annual Meeting. In practice we try to keep the congregation informed and engaged as issues arise. As we are all only human, we can get caught up in our own ‘day to day’. Feel free to contact me, other ministry leaders or one of the pastors if there are issues that need attention.
