MYF (short for Mennonite Youth Fellowship) is our group for high schoolers. Each September a small group meets to plan events for the coming months. Here are some typical events:
- Fall retreat at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp
- We often have a movie sleep over during the year where we'll play hide and go seek or other fun games to play in a big, dark church!
- Corn Maze
- Kitchener Rangers hockey game
- Christmas party
- Tobogganing
- Guys night/Girls night
- Gym nights
- Swimming
- Mini putt
Youth Assemblies: Each year our group goes on a trip to either a Youth Assembly or service project. The youth assemblies are organized by Mennonite Church Canada and have been in places such as Abbotsford, BC, Caronport, SK, and Waterloo, ON.
Service Trips: Recent service trips have been to Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Mississippi. A number of fundraisers are typically held throughout the year to help families pay for these trips.
Sunday School: On Sunday mornings, this age group has a Sunday school class that often talks about recent events and tries to get us thinking about our faith and how it connects to the real world.
